about us

You May US is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit chartered to help Chinese immigrant women thrive in the U.S. Our mission is to provide critical information to newly arrived Chinese immigrant women to help them adjust to their new life in the U.S. and facilitate their journey to become productive, contributing members of U.S. society. Our tagline is: Arrive. Survive. Thrive. We hope by setting up a shared platform, we will find a path to our new self in the U.S.

Just like you, after arriving in the U.S., we found challenges everywhere – food, language, friends, work, everything is different. We started interviewing U.S. experts, successful Chinese women, and friends on the same journey to realize their U.S. dreams. We published print and digital magazines, launched fundraising campaigns and events, and are now, launching a webshop to introduce products from the Chinese women’s community. Along the journey, we are fortunate to make friends from the East Coast to the Midwest to the West Coast by working virtually as volunteers. We hope that by sharing stories of frustrations, confusion, and successes, we will inspire each other to find our path to living a full life in the U.S.
